Fredianne Gray, BS
I am glad you’re taking steps that support your good health. So that you can better determine whether
you are interested in working together, I would like to share with you some of my views about therapy.
To me, therapy is a collaborative process based on an authentic therapeutic relationship that we
develop together. I am genuinely interested in you, your stories, your goals, and your dreams, and in
creating a safe space with you that is respectful, accepting, empathetic, and compassionate.
I have found that self- discovery, healing, and transformation are journeys that often take winding
roads. We will travel those roads together, building on your unique strengths and perspectives,
developing an understanding of your challenges, exploring your personal meaning, supporting your
growth, nourishing your hope and resilience, and moving at whatever pace is comfortable for you.
My approach is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, and is client-centered. Most of my experience has been working
with adults and older adults experiencing depression, a transition to a new chapter in life, medical
challenges, or seeking to find their direction.
I received a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UCLA, an M.D. from the University of Washington,
and am currently studying for a Master of Social Work degree, also at the University of Washington.
Although I haven’t practiced medicine for many years, I bring that understanding to our work together.
I would be honored to be part of your journey!
