Internships

 

Pacific Mental Health is seeking Master’s level counseling interns. Internship appointments are 9-12 months in length and requires a weekly time commitment of 8-16 hours a week. A successful candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, speak multiple languages, or have experience working with under-served populations.

We seek candidates who can become an integral part of the Pacific Mental Health team, who understand their role in a dynamic collaborative work environment. We welcome applicants who provide diverse perspectives with respect to research ideas and psychological theory. The candidate will be required to provide individual and couples counseling, participate in group/individual supervision, and write treatment notes.

As part of the internship, students will develop a theoretical orientation by which they will choose to practice counseling. Students in the past have chosen to practice CBT, Narrative, Person-Centered, Jungian, Existential, and several others. Each intern will have weekly supervision as well as group supervision where students present cases and receive feedback about their approach in order to become more effective and efficient clinician.

Pacific Mental Health counselors interns provide mental health care for clients at our Seattle and Lynnwood, WA locations, our Tempe, AZ location,  as well as through tele-health.
