Post-Masters, Pre-Licensure<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Summary:<\/strong>\u00a0Provides individual and couples therapy, interviews clients and couples to develop a comprehensive psychosocial assessment. Position is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Individual Plan of Care (IPC), by incorporating and integrating assessment data from other members of the treatment team.<\/p>\n Individual will also provide clinical guidance and recommendations to the other members of the treatment team, and coordinate treatment interventions with prescribing clinicians as needed.<\/p>\n Must demonstrate strong competency in the following areas:<\/em><\/p>\n Therapy Skills:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based practices as appropriate.<\/p>\n Assessment and Conceptualization Skills:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Ability to conduct intake assessments, create treatment plans, present and conceptualize cases from a theoretical orientation.<\/p>\n Crisis Intervention Skills:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0able to assess suicide and homicide risk and when necessary create a safety plan with client.<\/p>\n Facilitating Treatment Meetings<\/strong>:<\/span>\u00a0 Coordinate Individual Plan of Care meetings, family team meetings, and collaborate with other team members. Quality and Timely Documentation:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Including daily case notes, treatment plans for insurance companies, quick response to client\/ team emails, and other required documentation.<\/p>\n Characteristics of Effective Therapist<\/strong>:<\/p>\n Focus on Professional Development:<\/strong> Including actively working toward licensure, being current on all required trainings for agency, seek additional trainings to improve clinical skills in evidence based practices, showing a willingness to learn, and demonstrate a commitment to cultural awareness.<\/p>\n The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and\/or ability required to perform the job adequately. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n Education and Licensure:\u00a0<\/strong>Master\u2019s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or other field which qualifies the candidate to be licensed in the State of Washington as a mental health counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, or psychologist.<\/p>\n Experience:<\/strong>\u00a0Two years\u00a0 experience working in the mental health setting, residential or day treatment, which provides counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.<\/p>\n Job Knowledge:<\/strong>\u00a0Able to work within the accepted therapeutic standards and guidelines of Pacific Mental Health policies and procedures, able to determine own therapeutic practices and techniques while consulting as necessary with the clinical supervisor, contribute to program and new concept development.<\/p>\n Work is routinely performed within the task areas defined above, is complex and involves assessment and therapeutic decisions, which directly impacts the progress and emotional well being of clients.<\/p>\n
