Helping individuals and couples realize their full potential is my goal as a Counselor. Life is complicated and we are all products of our upbringing, life experiences, and personal coping mechanisms. We are aware of some of these mechanisms and others, we are not. Whether it is a temporary set-back or a chronic condition, helping to uncover what lays beyond our consciousness and how that affects our thoughts, feelings, and behavior is a process that will lead to greater well-being, increased self-awareness, and fulfilling personal potential.

In our sessions, I will work to understand each client’s unique worldview, current constraints, existing resources and strengths and then apply an integrative theoretical approach to tailor collaborative treatment goals to meet specific individual needs that lead to positive change, increased confidence, and greater growth and healing. I will employ empathy, respect, and unconditional positive regard for each client’s pace for individual change. Treatment may include tools to address maladaptive thoughts and behavioral patterns, psychoeducation, uncovering of past trauma and strengthening/supporting current strengths and resources.

As a former attorney and international sales director, I draw from professional and personal experiences to appreciate the full spectrum of what individuals may be experiencing when dealing with life challenges. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling Program from Northwestern University. I obtained my Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington and my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cornell University. Returning to Seattle in 2018 after a decade and a half of living in Hong Kong, I enjoy hiking, yoga, serving on various nonprofit Boards, and spending time with my family and our sweet dog, Stanley.
