Lynnwood, Washington
Student Intern
As a counseling intern, my goal is to help individuals express their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to promote their welfare. I strive to create a non-judgmental, healthy, and friendly environmental approach for individuals to express themselves openly. Being able to build rapport and understand the perspective of what others are experiencing through their life struggles is a vital part of reaching success in the therapeutic process.

I am passionate about helping others and encouraging them to find what makes their life most fulfilling. Throughout my education, I have gained knowledge about techniques and theories that will be most effective for each unique person. I am passionate about using Psychotherapy models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy.

In 2018 I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health with an emphasis on Child and Adolescent Disorders from Grand Canyon University, gaining knowledge about the youth, families, and young adults. Over time, I have continued to obtain more knowledge regarding mental health in adults in the past two years in my Master’s degree. I am in my last year in my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University and completing my internship to receive full licensure as a licensed mental health counselor (LPC) in the state of Washington. I look forward to continuing to help support the community with mental health services throughout my time as a counselor.
