Greetings, my name is Hana. I am a first-year graduate student at City University of Seattle’s Master of Arts in Counseling program. My goal as a counselor is to help you heal and grow in a way that speaks to you.

My priority is not to provide solutions to your problems, but to guide you in gaining a greater understanding and acceptance of self. Working from a person-centered approach, I believe in affirming the dignity and uniqueness of each human being and come to this work with a deep respect for the complexities of the human experience.

Everyone possesses their own beliefs and values, which I do not hope to change, but strive to understand. The most profound growth can be found when one is able to come to their own conclusions, rather than being given the answers.

Together we will work collaboratively, celebrating your strengths and working through challenges. I seek to provide a safe and uplifting space that always keeps intersectionality and social justice in mind. Empathy, unconditional positive regard, and the utmost respect are what you can expect from me in our sessions. Let’s work together towards a goal of mutual trust and holistic wellness.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Mexico in 2017. As a newcomer to Seattle, I have enjoyed hunting down the best cup of coffee and taking my dog on walks through various parks around the city.
