As a therapist, my focus is two-fold. To acknowledge and heal the previous hurt you’ve experienced throughout your lifetime while also teaching you the skill sets to be able to address future periods of pain. I want my clients to deepen their self-awareness so that they can strive towards self-sufficiency and cognitive health.
I specialize in treatment for adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD). My primary objective as a therapist is to build trust and respect with my clients so that they feel comfortable exploring vulnerable and difficult topics with me. I practice trauma informed care and I utilize several different psychological approaches such as cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT), psychoanalysis and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) that I tailor to each individual and their specific needs.
I received my Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Washington’s Master’s in Social Work program. I previously worked for a restorative justice program run by the Municipal Court of Seattle and this is my fourth year as a volunteer for the National Suicide Prevention Line. I spent a year and a half traveling across Europe, Asia and Africa in which I was able to learn about a variety of different cultures, values and views that differ from my own. If you believe that I may be a good fit as a therapist for you, feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation with me.
Congratulations on taking the first step towards this next chapter in your life.
