Claire Stepherson, BA
Hello, my name is Claire.
I am a collaborative, client-centered therapist. I believe that therapy works best when you feel safe and empowered. My hope is to create a supportive and non-judgmental space for you to explore and thrive. I am passionate about guiding individuals towards leading fulfilling and authentic lives through developing healthy relationships with themselves and others. I believe that you are the expert of your own life and already have everything within you. My hope is to help you identify areas that may be blocking you from growth and meaningful change.
I offer an integrative approach that is tailored to meet your needs. I work within a systemic and multicultural lens, which means I acknowledge the influence of social context and honor the ways in which your various identities, whether through gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and ability inform your world perspective. I also draw influence from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, attachment, and solution-focused theories to best meet the needs of my clients.
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree from Seattle University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. I also received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College in studio art and African-American studies. I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to support you on this journey.
