Olivia Bowker MSW, LSWAIC
I love being able to see people get better. I have witnessed people’s incredible strength and resilience as they face some of life’s toughest challenges. Though changes can often be outside of our control, growth is our choice to make.
I believe growth happens best when we have authentic support. My approach to counseling is largely in part believing in the power of connection. The therapeutic relationship provides a space of sincere empathy, positive regard, and acceptance. I use a variety of techniques from Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as elements of Mindfulness to cultivate an environment that is centered around you-the client.
I have many years of experience working in mental health with adults. I specialize mostly in supporting older adults. Most of my background has been with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, transitions, caregiving, and recent diagnoses. I received my Masters degree in Social Work from University of New England and earned my Bachelors degree in Social Work from George Fox University.
